Ask ten people to name a healthy food and you'll hear ten different answers — kale, quinoa, salmon, blueberries. Here's the surprising truth our nutrition coaches share in week one: no single food decides your health. What matters is the whole pattern of your eating across days and weeks.
A “healthy” food is simply one that moves your overall pattern in the right direction: more colour, more fibre, adequate protein, and portions that leave you satisfied — not stuffed, not starving an hour later.
The Three Questions That Matter
Instead of labelling foods good or bad, run everything through these:
- Does it add colour or variety to my day? Different colours carry different nutrients.
- Will it keep me full for three to four hours? Protein, fibre and healthy fats do the heavy lifting.
- Can I enjoy it without guilt? Food you dread never becomes a habit.
Healthy eating is not a list of approved foods. It's a pattern of balanced, colourful, satisfying days — repeated until it's simply how you eat.
Start this week: add one vegetable to lunch and one protein source to breakfast. That's it. Small patterns compound, and our nutrition coaches can build the rest around your tastes.
